Current Bylaw
Section 5. Requirements of State Qualified Team
Members. Each state qualified member, or member’s
parent, of the AQHYA World Team and All American
Congress Team shall have worked a minimum of two
(2) hours actual time at three of the five following
activities, for a total of six (6) hours with a
minimum of three hours worked by the individual
member and the remainder worked only by a parent
except where voted on and approved by the youth
officers and Youth Advisor. One of the three activities
must be either the Youth Approved Activity or the
Youth Show. a. Hoosier Horse Fair Youth Booth b.
Youth Approved Activity (4-H State Judging Contest)
c. Youth Sponsored Shows. (Each full show counts
as separate event, Split combined days count as
one show) d. Indiana State Show Delinquent hours
cannot be made up.
Proposed Bylaw

by the individual member and the remainder worked
only by a parent except where voted on and approved
by the youth officers and Youth Advisor. The activity
must be at the Youth Show, unless the participant
is not able to participate in this show. The participant
will then work their two (2) hours at the State
Show where all the same rules will apply. Delinquent
hours cannot be made up.

It’s so hard to believe that congress is coming up so soon! At our last meeting
we mainly talked about the youth would show.
Among the things we talked about were the jackets you got, to have fans or not,
the theme, and how to decorate the stalls, when to be there and different contests
we were in.
Congrats to everyone who made it on the team! At the last meeting we also talked
about giving back to the parents this consists of IQHYA will pay a certain amount
back of the stall fee for either world show team members or NYATT team members
to the parent for doing so much for your kids and the youth organization.
Please keep in mind that this is just a brief summary if you have any questions
at all do not be afraid to contact me! I Can’t wait to see everyone at congress
and good luck!

Message from the 2009 Secretary, Ashley Swim:
It’s
hard to believe that the show season is coming
so soon! We went over so much at are last meeting
and got so much done. Too bad it seems there will
never be enough time in those meetings.
At our last meeting we passed a lot of new items. We realized we still need a
committee chairman for the judging contest in Danville. A few old things to be
reminded of you must work 3 separate functions and have 3 $20 sponsorships to
qualify for the youth or world team. The Hoosier Horse Fair counts as a place
to work 3 of your 6 hours. We still need some more people to pick up the toys
for tots. Also don’t forget if you sell 15 $20 sponsorships you will get
a free stall at the youth show! Also the “A” team for youth and world
shows gets to go into two different classes. Another thing, we changed the congress
team sponsor. One last thing If you have any fundraising ideas please let us
know!
I can’t wait to see you all at the next show!
