2008 IQHA Annual Trail Ride
Can't attend the IQHA/AQHA Charity Trail
Ride?
There are still ways you can help.
We are seeking items to auction at the ride
or monetary donations to help offset the cost
of the ride.
There are over 6,000+ individuals of all ages
and abilities currently on waiting lists at
NARHA Member Centers hoping to experience the
benefits
of equine assisted activities.
Through the proceeds of our 2008 trail ride,
IQHA was able to raise over $10,000-almost half
of which was raised through the charity auction!
The future success of our charity ride can only
be accomplished through donations from individuals
and businesses.
You can have your name, or company name added
to our video. Or perhaps you have a special equine
friend that we can mention on the video.

November 7, 8, 9 2008
Midwest Trail Ride, Norman,
Indiana
Sponsored by IQHA and AQHA
Overview of the AQHA Program: AQHA's
Ride Program began in 1997 and annually hosts
some 70 rides throughout the world. All horse
enthusiasts are welcome to participate. A portion
of the proceeds benefit the American Quarter Horse
Foundation and a local charity selected by the
host affiliates.
The Ride Program is a great way to have fun on
horseback, meet people from all aspects of the
equine industry who love horses and riding and
support many worthy causes. Rider's will explore
private ranches and some of the world's most scenic
public lands. See the AQHA
website for more information.
IQHA member Don Swygart (pictured) has won the
top Passport award from AQHA. He has attended
20 AQHA rides and will be receiving a trophy from
AQHA.
Below is Don's mare Kate. The picture was taken
at the Biltmore Estate ride last summer. She is
wearing the saddle he won for attending the most
AQHA trail rides in 2003.
