Red and I show in the Select Am classes. I really enjoy showmanship and horsemanship. Last year was a great year for us. We accomplished a lot. We got qualified for the Select and Amateur World shows in Performance Geldings. Red got his ROM in Halter and I noviced out of Halter. Red was a finalist at the Congress in the Am. Performance Geldings class. That was fun!!!!! Red is qualified for the 2008 Select World in Performance Gelding.
I owe a lot to Kevin & Paula Carr. They are the best!!!! They keep me going when I start to fall apart. Paula is a pattern guru and Kevin knows just how to ride Red. They have made Red & I a better pair.
Even though I keep Red at home, I know that they are only a phone call away. I can call with a question or problem or just to chat. They are always there for me. The Saturday and Sunday visits to Wabash are always a blast.
I haven’t shown too much this year because of costs but hope to get qualified for 2009 in the near future. I am hoping to show at the Congress again this year.
Good Luck to all my IQHA friends as they venture out to show. Thank you to Kevin Carr Show Horses for all their support and friendship. Good Luck and Thank You to the Ropers for all their support and friendship too.
A big Thank you to the Don Cox family for caring for Red, Mike Tucker for being the best farrier and to Dr. Amy Halaburt for her expert veterinary care.
