McKenna is 10 yrs old and she lives in Montpelier, Ohio. This is her second year as an IQHA member. She has been riding horses since she was two starting with lead-line. 2008 was her last year of eligibility for walk-trot, and she was very successful. She was the Open Show Awards program Tiny-Tot All Around. She was also Reserve All-Around Champion in the Youth Small Fry.
McKenna was also the High Point Small Fry All-Around at New Castle and High Point All Around at the Rochester Open Show.
She was also the Circuit winner in Youth Mares 3 and over at the Indy Circuit and State Show. Also at the State Show she was the Circuit winner in Small Fry Western Pleasure.
McKenna won Grand Champion walk-trot Hunter under Saddle at the All American Youth Show in Columbus Ohio and was also Reserve Grand in Equitation. This earned her an AQHA ROM with her mare in Youth Mare Halter.
McKenna has competed at the All American Quarter Horse Congress for the years 2005 thru 2008. In 2009 she plans to earn her performance ROM and compete at the Congress in Performance mare halter as well as in the 11 and under events.
McKenna's parents own and operate a 16 stall boarding and training stables in Montpelier, Ohio. This includes ane an indoor and outdoor arena with lots of pasture for their mares and foals. McKenna said that someday she would like to take a futurity foal, and show it in western pleasure.
She said she can't wait for show season to start, and can't wait to get back on the road with Dottie and my Mom.
