2009 Queen Allison Kralovansky

Allison Kralovansky is the 22 year old daughter of Al
and Chris Kralovansky of Sheridan Indiana. A 2005 graduate
of NorthWood High School, Allison is currently studying
Equine Business Management with a minor in Equine Science
at Saint Mary of the Woods in Terre Haute Indiana. Allison
plans to graduate in 2010 and continue her education
with graduate work in equine reproductive physiology
and genetics.
While attending Saint Mary's, Allison has served as
the Saint Mary of the Woods College Western Equestrian
Team Captain, Western Horse Manager and committee member
for the western regional standards and ethics committee
for IHSA Zone 9 Region 1.
As a strong competitor at the collegiate level, Allison
has been honored as a 4-time intercollegiate Horse Show
Association national qualifier, 2008 AQHA Hight Point
Regional Reserve Champion, 2008 IHSA Western Semi-Final
Open Team Reining Champion, 2009 AQHA High Point Regional
Champion and 2009 4th in the nation in Intercollegiate
AQHA High Point Rider Standing.

. Queen to be crowned at the 2009 IQHA State Show in
June
. Automatic contestant at the All-American Quarter
Horse Congress in October 2009
. Contest format similar to the one used at the Congress
1. Candidate must have a sponsor or sponsors.
The sponsor fee is $75.00. Fee must accompany application.
A candidate may have multiple sponsors to meet the $75.00
fee.
2. Candidate must be 18 years old on January 1, 2009,
and not over 25 years old, single, never married,
annulled,
divorced, or a single parent.
3. Candidate must complete all categories of The Official
Application and it must be postmarked by May 1, 2009.
4. PREVIOUS QUEEN CONTEST WINNERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO
ENTER.
5. Candidate must be current member of AQHA and IQHA
and a resident of Indiana.
6. Candidate may ride any AQHA Indiana-owned horse whose
owner is a member of IQHA.
7. Candidate will be required to make a poster with
her name and 8x10 photo and her sponsor's name(s) to
be displayed at the Queen's booth at the State Show.
8. Candidate must submit a color photo (any size) with
her application to be used for publicity in the State
Show program and the IQHA Journal.
9. Candidate must exhibit in, or participate in the
running of at least 3 IQHA shows or events during the
one- (1) year period prior to the start of the State
Show competition.
10. Queen will automatically be on next year's IQHA
Queen Committee, unless she competes again.
11. Candidate must compete in all categories of the
Contest.
A. Oral Interview - 40% (3 judges)
B. Written Test - 40% (Questions from AQHA and IQHA
Rule Books and current events.)
C. Horsemanship - 20% (3 Judges to divide their scores
between pattern and rail work.)
Please note that in all categories of multiple judges,
their scores will be totaled and averaged
.
12. Queen will represent Indiana at the All-American
Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, Ohio in October.
